New A Harmless Project Featuring MuMu Organic!

I’m back with a new series of A Harmless Project for 2016! I have lots in store for you all this year and I’m so excited to kick things off with a new brand: MuMu Organic.

MuMu Organic is an Ethical label from Greece, producing handmade womenswear locally in Greece. Founded by Athena Bentila and artist Roland Wakker. Athena is a multi-talented self-taught designer and pattern maker that clearly has an eye for the female form. Her chic and flirty designs are captivating, well tailored, and luxurious.

MuMu Organic only uses “eco-fabrics” and through responsible sourcing supports Fair Trade producers in developing countries, as well as providing local employment in Greece. The organic cotton fabrics are certified with Global Organic Textile Standard as well as 100% Fair Trade. Other natural linen fabrics and the 100% certified organic cotton blend fabrics are imported from a Dutch company which cooperates with a Global Organic Textile Standard certified factory in Turkey.

Here, I’ve highlighted their Zuria Cardigan and Ajalla Dress. I love sets like this where both pieces can be worn together or separately which will help you cultivate a more utilitarian wardrobe. The dress has a gorgeous flirty high-low bottom that’s super flattering. The slight almost ruffle front of the cardigan is a lovely touch that gives the set even more style. I find these pieces to be warm yet breathable, easy to wear, and easy to care for/clean.

I’ve styled them together here with strappy vegan sandals from Marais but I love to wear the cardigan with light wash ripped jeans and a oversized tee shirt and the dress by itself with flat knee high boots and a clutch.
