Belt Bags
A few months back I found out I'd be taking a trip to Maui. In my hunt for all things chic and practical to bring on my adventure, I realized my need for a belt bag. They're perfect for carrying the essentials out on excursions when a purse would be too cumbersome. Finding a vegan belt bag was not easy... until now. Hipsters For Sisters is an amazing ethical (and vegan!) company based in Los Angeles. They are committed to sustainability and donates 5% of every purchase to organizations that liberate and empower women. Purchasing from companies that not only have an eco-minded mission but also a commitment to better the world is very important. The quality of their bags is outstanding; the vegan leather and ultra-suede, which is a high-performance, eco-friendly textile made from post-industrial recycled materials, are really durable and give the bags a luxury feel. Their designs are so stylish and ideal for my little adventures around the island (I actually use this bag on a daily basis back home which I'll get to in a minute).
I have their Black Flat Waist Bag in Gold. It's got gold hardware, an interior zipper pocket, magnetic closure, and a removable gold chain. You can wear the bag as I have here, around your waist, or you can clip the clasps together and wear it as a shoulder bag, or you can ditch the chain and rock it as a clutch! THAT'S THREE BAGS IN ONE. I love versatility in my wardrobe and this piece takes that to another level. I use this bag all the time for hiking, running errands, going out with friends, and especially on date nights as a clutch. I can't express just how much I love this bag; it's a must-have for me.
As for the outfit, the shirt is from LPA and the shorts are Sir The Label. I went for a simply black and white, lightweight ensemble for my day out exploring in the sun. I ended the day eating vegan chocolate chip cookies from Divvies on my balcony overlooking the ocean; not too shabby.
