BE Beauty (Benevolent & Enlightened Beauty) is an education program aimed to boost the self-esteem of teenage girls through aspects of self-love, caring for the planet, and compassion for others. This, in my opinion, is a rather important mission and is such a fantastic resource for young women. I did an interview with them recently talking about veganism, what makes me feel beautiful, and more. Give it a read and share BE Beauty with the women in your life!
I've recently discovered homemade body lotion and I'm obsessed! I get a bit weirded out when I read the ingredients of many lotions out on the market today. I want to keep things natural and simple with wholesome ingredients so I decided to make my own. It's rather simple! Here's my recipe: -One cup coconut oil -One cup cocoa butter -1-2 tablespoons vitamin e oil - optional -1-2 tablespoons topical vegetable glycerin - optional -Rose oil or oil of your choice - optional Melt
Recently Matt and Nat released their first line of vegan shoes and they're EPIC. It's usually their chic, minimal handbag designs that get vegan fashionistas all hot and bothered but now we have gorgeous shoes to drool over as well. I have a few wet wipe recipes I use for various things around the house. These are wipes I use after a number two visit to the bathroom. No one talks about post-number two bottom care but I think it's important to keep things clean and healthy! These wipes are made with the following: -Two cups distilled water -Two tablespoons Dr. Bronner's castile soup -Two tablespoons witch hazel -Two tablespoons aloe (juice or gel will work) - optional -Four drops tea tree oil - optional -
I love my monthly cruelty-free beauty box from Petit Vour. It's a little pick-me-up that I can look forward too in the midst of my hectic work and social schedules. It reminds me to take a little me time to relax, breathe, and pamper myself. Here's my latest haul: Lauren B. Beauty Base/Top Coat - I love this vegan, non-toxic nail polish. I actually like to wear this by itself for a shiny natural look. It's so great to have the benefits of nail polish without the chemicals (or
